ABOUT ME

Welcome! I’m Sean, a Gameplay Systems Designer and Programmer in Irvine CA. I have been programming video games since 2014, but have been developing game and story systems for much longer. I am currently a Technical Gameplay Designer at Obsidian, where I get to collaborate on the development of deep RPG systems. I studied computer science and game design at DigiPen Institute of Technology and engineering design at Renton Technical College.

I thrive in creative and collaborative environments, and my best work is done when others around me are just as passionate about the project. I enjoy being thrown in the deep end, and love learning new skills. When programming I focus on open-endedness, clarity and reusability. I love to create event-driven systems with strong feedback and flexibility.

I’m an avid Dungeon Master, veteran improver, dabble in brewing, and love cooking (ask me for my Thai ramen recipe, it will blow you away!) . My favorite games are Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Bioshock, but any game which shows that the devs were passionate about their work draws me in like a moth to flame.
